Awana Grand Prix!

Today was the big Awana Grand Prix race! It was so much fun. We started out a few weeks ago with the boys trying to decide what they wanted their cars to look like. Then they drew it on the block of wood and we cut them out and sanded them smooth. Then we got to paint and decorate...the fun part!

Drew decided to do a batman car. Ben did his car in the shape of a caterpillar and Will did a sporty little blue car. They are judged on design and speed. Will's car won 3rd place for speed! :) Ben's little caterpillar won 2nd place for design! :) It sure wasn't going to win for speed-I had to help it get across the finish line! :) Not sure what was up with that-but Sheri said "well it was a caterpillar!" :) And Drew, well he just was the odd man out....definitely one of life's hard lessons with his brothers both getting trophies but, he took it well and.... there IS always next year. :)

The boys really had alot of fun getting to do the cars. This was our second year to do the Grand Prix and we always look forward to it.
