Braces here we come!

Will getting a casting made of his teeth! The top was chocolate cake flavor and the bottom was cookie dough flavor! Will got to pick them out from about 20 flavors! :)

Well we went to the orthodontist today and to make a long story short the dr said he definitely needs braces ASAP. It's not a matter of doing them for cosmetic reasons because he has really straight teeth. Like I said he has a MOUTH FULL of teeth and who would think he had more waiting to come in with no room!?!?! That is why he has to have braces is to make room for a tooth on the top and a tooth on the bottom that have absolutely no space to go right now.

Dr McClain said Will has the mouth of a 12 year old...with so many of his adult teeth in and he didn't even want to wait 3 weeks. Because if the few baby teeth he has left were to fall out he will have a much harder time with braces and have to have some extractions. So he even went ahead and put in spacers today and fitted him for braces to be put on next Wednesday.

So let me tell you braces are expensive.......$5200-yeah talk about sticker shock! And we have NO dental insurance! So that figures out to $1000 down and $175 a month for 2 years! :) I said wow that was definitely more than I paid for my first car! :) But what can you do? By golly he will have some good looking teeth! :)

When Dr. McClain left he shook Will's hand and said "Good to meet you Will! We are going to be REALLY good friends!" :)
